What's new
A music video screen, your own logo and colors, and a karaoke video swap
Three updates for nights with more than one screen, and for anyone who has ever queued the wrong version of a song.
A music video screen for a second screen
Open the gear menu on the host page and choose Music video screen. Open it on a second screen and it plays the original music video for the song on stage, muted and in time with the karaoke. One screen shows the lyrics, the other shows the video.
If the video runs a little early or late, adjust the timing from the Music video card on the host page. When a song has no music video, the screen says so instead of playing something random.
Your logo and colors on every screen
In Customize, the new Your logo & colors section takes a PNG, JPG or WebP logo and two accent colors. The logo sits next to the KaraoQ wordmark, and the colors carry through singer names, Up next and the now-playing bar on the host screen, the display and the music video screen. Changes preview on the real screen and apply when you save.
Swap the karaoke video
Picked the wrong version? The host can swap it from the Karaoke video card: choose another version of the same song, search with the song name already filled in, or paste a YouTube link. A link that can't play on KaraoQ is turned down before it reaches the display. Swapping the song on stage restarts it from the top.
The song in these clips, “Neon Hearts” by Velvet Static, is made up: Velvet Static is a fictional band, and its lyrics and videos were created with Claude, just for fun. Music: “Party Club Dance Music” by Tatamusic (Pixabay).
